Sharing your story

Some ground rules:

  • Start with ā€œIā€. Theses stories are personal. You may include your gender.

  • No need to mention names. This space is not for persecuting but rather to gather a collection of stories.

  • Some indication of time would situate the story. Only be as specific or vague as you feel comfortable.

  • This is the place to be as truthful as you want. It is anonymous and hopefully it might bring some comfort that your story is told and heard.

  • Your story, regardless of its perceived severity, is a story to be told.

  • Research means to analyze the information from the stories and unveil commonalities. Research can help support advocacy groups and help with reconciliation process. Research can also assist policy maker in their decision making process.
